GAINING GOD’S SUPPORT

‎God gives strong support to those whose heart is blameless towards Him. And to earn this support certain steps most be taken. 1) To have and confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior (this is for new converts), 2) To commune with the Lord everyday at a set place (‘an Altar’ ) and time where you met with Him daily, 3) To study and meditate on the Word of God daily, 4) To be led by the Spirit of God and yield to His bidding (that is to walk in the righteousness of God), 5) To do away with old habits by God’s grace just to mention a few.

‎An example of one who gained God’s support was Prophet Elisha, who when the Syrian army encamped him in order to capture him (2 Kings 6 vs 13-15) had horses and chariots of fire all around him (2 Kings 6 vs 17) and instead of being captured, he led the army to Samaria – right into the hands of the king of Israel.

‎‎Sometimes walking with God and earning His support may seem like everything is working against us or that the answer to what we seek keeps going further and further away from us. At such times, it is best to remain focused and not let go of our trust in God. He is never late and He’ll certainly never leave you (a Friend/Son) in the middle of nowhere (Deut 31 vs 6).

Other times, He may place us at an advantage over those who are or have persecuted us ( 2 Kings 6 vs 21-23, Roms 12 vs 19-20), we are meant to respond in Love in such cases. For one of the ultimate goal of gaining God’s support is to break the cycle of evil and overcome them with good, for God is Love.‎ Although we may sometimes feel abandoned, when/if our spiritual eyes are opened like Elisha’s servant, we’ll see that God’s angels encamp around us. Hence, we are to have an absolute unwavering confidence in God at all times NOT sometimes BUT AT ALL TIMES that He is with us.

‎In a nutshell, no matter what position or condition you find yourself, know that God’s support is strong over you at all times and you are meant to overcome evil with Love 💕.

RESTORATION OF HEALTH

‎Where are you sharing your story about the One true God of heaven and earth?
Like the maid in Naaman’s house although Elisha had not healed any one with leprosy before, yet she trusted in the power of God through the prophet to get her master healed. She became a blessing to that family by telling them the story of the God of Israel. On the other hand Naaman who represented the one who was sick didn’t ignore, despise or dishonor the ‘maids’ advice instead he acknowledged God’s invitation through the  maid and proceeded to Israel.

There are some people who are sick (spiritually or physically) and have been ignoring God’s invitation through Jesus the great Physician. Why not yield to His invitation today and allow him direct your path to Healing Deliverance or Breakthrough. Like Naaman, who waited on God (2 Kings 5 vs 9) to receive instruction on his healing, are you also yielding to that instruction to speak to someone about Jesus, to reconnect to Jesus or to improve/grow in your walk with Jesus?

God honors both His Word and His name and as He RESTORED Naaman’s skin, He is ready to RESTORE you, as you yield to Him.

STAYING CONNECTED TO YOUR INHERITANCE

Consciously setting out time to study and meditate on the Word of God, or to personally ask that Jesus becomes your Lord and Savior as a new believer (Eph 2 vs 8-9,Rom 10 vs 9-10 ) means we are responding to His first hand of invitation to us into our space(heart).
‎
‎The more we respond to God’s call through Jesus, the more we open up ourselves to Him to occupy us. This can be likened to Abraham (in Gen 18 vs 1-5) and the Shunamite woman (in 2 Kings 4 vs 8-10) who were both open to God and showed hospitality to His servants (as they invariably invited and offered rest to them in their spaces(homes)). This shows that they were obviously led by the Spirit of God.
‎For it is written that all who are led by the Spirit of God are called the Sons of God( Rom 8 vs 14) this leading qualified them for a RESTORED HOPE.

For us to partake of God’s many goodness, we have to create space for Him and then we’ll be led by Him.
‎The conscious act of inviting the presence of God into our space be it heart or home births Light( the Shunamite woman put in a lampstand (2 Kings 4 vs 10)), Fruitfulness (Gen 18 vs 10, 21 vs 1-2 and 2 Kings 4 vs 16-17), Fills our hearts with God’s goodness just to mention a few.
‎
‎Most of us are not aware of the presence of God within us, hence we find ourselves not walking in that consciousness, thereby leaving us at a disadvantage most times.
‎Feeding on the Word of God daily as babes that requires milk or as adult that require food, is very essential to our growth, as God’s Word Repairs wounds and brokenness, emptiness, hurt etc ushering in healing, clarity of purpose, first hand love, peace, courage etc. It is essential that we renew our connection with God daily for He restores lost hope, makes us carriers of His light and benefactors of His goodness.
‎Let’s endeavor to stay connected with Him on a daily basis so as to enjoy the benefits of His Inheritance.

RESTORED

‎Sometimes in our journeys in life we experience emotional indebtedness to someone we are struggling to pay back (2 kings 4 vs 1) or we experience a void in our deepest of hearts (which fame, money, spouse, power, children etc can not fill) and a lot of people are aware of this void within them but they keep on searching endlessly for how to fill the void, other experiences are prolonged dryness of seasons, emptiness and many more examples that we all experience in life.

‎Like the widow who encountered Elisha, do you know that her submission to the Power of God was her first step to RESTORATION and liberation? Have you also submitted yourself to the Power and Authority of God? Have you encountered Jesus yet? If no, you will have to invite him as the personal Lord and Savior of your life and if yes, then you’ll have to cry out to him like the widow did and commit all things in his care.
‎Following that, you are shutting the door behind you to pray to God to connect you with someone/people who are empty so you can share His Word with them. I bet you that’s one of the fastest way to having that empty void dispelled. That being said, whilst in the waiting room (which is your behind closed door) ask God to prepare you with a scripture to read and study for that one person you’ll be meeting. You’ll be surprised where a casual conversation will lead you to with that person/people. Pour out what you’ve learnt from the scripture you read and leave the rest for the Holy Spirit to fill them up like the widow filled the empty vessels with oil (in 2 Kings 4 vs 4-5) . Never forget also that this flow will only stop the moment you stop telling God’s story . That is, the moment you stop talking to Him(God) behind closed door to connect you with people who are empty and needs to be filled with His Word. And I won’t advise that you stop the flow you know…….
‎Finally, do you also know that selling the oil settled the unrest within the widows heart and home? In other words hope is not lost because, your zeal to fill someone up with God’s Word replaces all the voidness, unrest, emptiness, indebtedness, bottlenecks, setbacks and all what have you.

Jesus offers rest, relief and comfort to those who are troubled and weary (Matt 11 vs 30). You care for His business and He’ll certainly care for your business.
‎Remember, we already have the Authority not that He is just giving it, we have already been given the Authority over 2000 years ago through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
‎Praise God!!!!

WHERE ARE WE TO GET ENOUGH

‎Contrary to ‘Man’s’ first instinct to hoard food for self survival especially in times of extreme scarcity. A man from Baal-shalishah once brought bread and fresh ears of corn (as his firstfruits) to Elisha the man of God in a time of extreme scarcity of food and resources in 2 Kings 4 vs 42.
‎This divine action aligned with the needs of the students (sons of prophets) who were with the man of God and food which was Not Visible, Became Visible And Became ENOUGH.
‎The Word of God encourages us to trust Him and He’ll provide our basic needs, just as He feeds the birds (Matt 6 vs 25-34). Our heavenly Father has the capacity to use anyone, even animals or anything to feed or meet our needs.
‎
‎Having used a man to bring in the supplies, God used another man and spoke through him that there will be ENOUGH of supplies and in deed there was. There are times in our life’s that we are steering at that last Naira in our purse or bank account, last stock of food or even firstfruits as this case maybe with no glimpse of replenishment, the best thing is to lean on, trust and hope in God. You either fall into the category of men that God uses to make the supplies or into the category of men He speaks through. Either way, trust Him for He never fails once He gives His Word concerning that need.
‎
Matthew 6:26 ESV Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Our heavenly Father loves you and I so much and He possesses the ability to multiply that which is not enough into more than enough and I pray that You shall eat and have some left over in Jesus name.

‎Having enough or dwelling in this abundance can’t/shouldn’t be limited to just food supplies but applied to other areas of our lifes such as promotion (to the next level), miracle for healing, new home, guidance, fulfilling purpose and destiny just to mention a few. We need to learn to submit to God’s will and release that thing (it could be money, food, time, service to others, talent, fame, your sincere love, thanksgiving just to mention a few) and lay it at His feet. You’ll be amazed at how He’ll RESTORE your hope and lead you to WHERE YOU WILL GET ENOUGH.
